Established at the end of 2011 by Michael Preysman & Jesse Farmer, Everlane vows to change the way retail works. Operating on an ‘online only’ basis, they’re cutting out the middle man to bring the consumer the highest quality products at the lowest price. Their small collection of luxury basics are created by an in-house team of designers including former brand directors of American Apparel.
“The point is not to overwhelm the consumer with frivolous choice, but to bring them the very best from each category at a never-before-seen price point.” – Preysman
Each month Everlane release new luxury essentials, never over $100 & ship within the US with plans to reach Canada towards the end of the year. UK shipping next, PLEASE.
The members only online store employs a recognition scheme whereby inviting friends to join brings you benefits such as access to their ‘secret shop’ & free shipping for life.
Housed in an old factory on the Brooklyn waterfront, the Wythe Hotel has been restored to include its original industrial features whilst incorporating luxe hospitality elements. The hotel epitomises the boom of its local neighbourhood in becoming one of the ‘hippest’ boroughs in NYC. Heated concrete floors & two-way bathroom mirrors capturing the Manhattan skyline all add to the cool/historic vibe of this hotel.
The adjacent building has been decorated with vintage Brooklyn logos by Steve Powers to give non-view rooms a piece of art to look onto.
The hotel features ‘Band Rooms’, located on the 6th floor (conveniently next to the bar) containing sets of twin bunk beds & floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing views of the Manhattan skyline & Brooklyn rooftops. These rooms were designed on the recommendation of the creators behind the Brooklyn Bowl music venue & are meat for traveling bands needing a place to stay.

Times Square. Cool to see. Once…
An awesome hand painted ad for Mexico. Huge.
Really cool bar\restaurant – Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs is situated in Manhattan’s very cool TriBeCa neighbourhood and is owned by 2 NHL players -Henrik Lundquivst & Sean Avery. Definitely worth a visit, with amazing food (fully-loaded sandwiches) and cool vintage decor. A few blocks round the corner is Warren 77. Owned by the same two guys, and is a sports bar with more style than sweat.
Greenwich Village was one of my favourite areas. Really chill with lots of quirky features
Man, I love SoHo & the Meatpacking District! This pic was taken from the rooftop bar in the Gansevort, Meatpacking – amazing views but wildly overpriced! HOWEVER the rooftop bar at The Standard (round the corner) is totally worth every dollar spent. 18th floors up, amazing views, amazing cocktails & amazing decor. AMAZING

CSH has such a sweet location – right in the heart of SoHo on chilled Crosby Street. This boutique hotel has a really cool vibe, is super stylish & is full of fun art – like the giant head of letters featured in reception. Great place to stay, eat, drink and play.
